How it works
Three steps. About ten minutes.
Mr de Beer asks one question at a time. You never face an empty page.

1 Tell him about the hero
A name, an age and three words. Then what the story is about, in a sentence or two. Pick an art style and how long the book is: 8, 12 or 16 pages.

2 He writes and paints a draft
Every page gets words and a picture. It takes a few minutes. Make a cup of tea.

3 You make it yours
Change a line, ask for a different picture, move a page. When it reads right, read it aloud, or order a printed copy.
The editor
Every page is yours to change.
Tap the words to edit them. Ask for a new picture in one line. Drag a page to move it. Undo is always there.

What parents ask first.
Is it a subscription?
No. Making a book is free. You pay once for the extras you want: more AI changes, a voice, a printed copy. There is no monthly fee for the builder, and there never will be.
Who owns the book?
You do. The words, the pictures and the printed copy are yours. We do not sell it, share it or use it to advertise. You can delete it any time.
Where do the pictures come from?
An AI paints them from the words you give: the hero's name, age and three words, and what happens on the page. No photos. We do not ask for a picture of your child, and you cannot upload one.
How long does a print take?
We do not have a firm number yet. You see the delivery date before you pay.
Can I use my own language?
English and Afrikaans, today. The book, the voice and Mr de Beer's tips all follow the language you pick.
Is it safe for a child?
Every story is written for a child of 2 to 9. Kind, nothing scarier than a storybook, no brands, no real people. And you read every page before your child does.
Does Mr de Beer hear or see my child?
No. He cannot hear or see anyone. He is a helper on the screen for the grown-up building the book.
